A recap of the reemergency of organized labor during it's first face to face convention, since the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, held at a union built and union staffed hotel.
Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell and Deborah Hall for the Oregon Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio. The show is a “run down” on the 57th Oregon AFL-CIO convention held during the weekend of March 18-20, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency at the Oregon Convention Center. The convention was filled with special guest speakers to include, Liz Shuler, the first female president of the national AFL-CIO, Oregon US Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley and a panel of front line workers who shared their recent labor and organizing experiences. The weekend was an invigorating display of how organized labor is “a difference you can feel”.
