Guest host S.W. Conser interviews Portland artist Tad Savinar, co-author with Eric Bogosian, of the play "Talk Radio," which is about a talk show host with a caustic sense of humor and a knack for cutting people down. The 1988 film "Talk Radio" airs this Thursday at the Clinton Street Theater to kick off a monthly film series sponsored by KBOO.
"Talk Radio" showing, Thursday, Jan 10, 7:00pm, Clinton Street Theater, 2522 SE Clinton St.
Tad Savinar's artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He is represented by PDX Contemporary Art. About his work, Savinar says, "I am interested in creating a dialogue between my work and the viewer. Not a one-way diatribe, but a genuine back and forth conversation. In order to achieve this I use the tool of visual beauty to bring the viewer closer, language to engage them, content that is relevant to their lives, and irony to soften the blow."
