Dmae features Shakespeare's Twelfth Night about to open at Post 5 Theatre in their new space. Dmae talked with artistic director Ty Boice and director Cassandra Boice about the play and about being working parents with a newborn at rehearsals.

We'll also hear a review of Portland Center Stage's Cyrano by reviewer Caren Calderon. Edmound Rostand's classic play Cyrano opened last weekend with a new translation by Michael Hollinger and Oregon native Aaron Posner.

And we'll remember author Ivan Doig who passed away on April 9, 2015.Ivan Doig was a prolific and beloved writer. His memoirs and historic fiction detailed in beautiful imagery and beloved characters a different and offbeat portrait of the American West. Dmae plays an short excerpt of her interview with the acclaimed author about his book Work Song on Stage & Studio. We'll hear an excerpt of their interview on Aug. 20, 2010.

About Portland Center Stage's Cyrano:

Set in 17th century France, the classic romantic comedy Cyrano tells the story of a great swordsman with a beautiful soul, who is handicapped by a huge nose that makes him believe he is incapable of being loved by the beautiful Roxane. When he learns that Roxane and a handsome young soldier named Christian are infatuated with each other, he writes beautiful love letters for her suitor that lead to a tragic love triangle. Filled with swordplay and wordplay, Cyrano is beloved for its affirmation of love, friendship and the power of a welldeveloped sense of humor.

Cyrano runs through May 3, 2015 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage in PCS’s Gerding Theater at the Armory. Regular tickets start at $36. Preview tickets start at $29. Rush tickets are $20.
