Bill Resnick interviews Joseph Schwartz who teaches at Temple University, political science. His published books include The Future of Democratic Equality: Reconstructing Social Solidarity in a Fragmented United States. Schwartz worked in both of Jesse Jackson presidential campaigns. And he’s been watching and writing about the Bernie Sanders campaign. They discuss the lesser evilism problem and how the Sanders campaign could be the basis for building a broad independent left.
