Politically outspoken, and now living in exile in Mali, Fakoly's music echoes Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, and fellow Ivorian Alpha Blondy. We will also hear music from the African nations included among the seven currently targeted Muslim countries: Libya, Somalia, and Sudan, plus selections from Salif Keita and Tinariwen, both of whom have also lived in exile, and are scheduled to appear in Portland soon. << We have tickets to offer: it's KBOO's winter membership drive, and we look forward to your support.
