Darkness Illuminates the Light of an Asymmetrical Universe of Music
The last day of February, Black History Month, will challenge, question, and remodel the contour and expectation of what jazz was, is, and aspires to become.
The sun never sets on jazz music. Even when the dark appears to eclipse the light, emergent illumination owns the noir . In radio jazz, it means a turbulent and mysterious journey, that demand from the listener an extraordinary level of trust, in the daunting quest for light.
The cries and wail, the holler and moan.
Like a seed that breaks surface ground; music amplifies a faith, in a night of uncertainty... to light the world.
