Thousands of Portlanders are demanding justice be served be defunding the Portland Police Bureau in order to pave a way towards a more peaceful tomorrow. 

Standing behind the movement are several community leaders and organizations including Unite Oregon and The Portland African American Leadership Forum (PAALF) — both of which have called for City Council to reduce the PBB’s funding by $50 million. 

KBOO’s Claire Rischiotto spoke with Unite Oregon’s Director Kayse Jama and Communications and Policy Associate Andrew Riley to learn more.
