Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë were three of the most important writers in all of Western literature.Three sisters whose short, tumultuous lives produced classic works still studied in-depth today. Though they lived quiet lives in the small Yorkshire village of Haworth, England, they wrote since they were children and went on to create works such as Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall all the while caring for their drug-addicted brother.
Tragically three siblings died within a year of each other. Charlotte lived to be 38. Yet the mystery of how these siblings lived and created such remarkable works in the small Haworth Parsonage still intrigues Brontë fans worldwide.
Bag&Baggage Productions is partnering with the Hillsboro Public Library for this production - a fantastic venue in which to stage the story of Western literature's most famous sisters.
