A conversation about the future and coverage of Portland arts amid COVID-19.

Dmae talks with Bob Hicks, two-time Pulitzer nominated veteran journalist/editor at The Oregonian and senior editor of Oregon ArtsWatch, about the current state of the arts in Portland and throughout the country. After seven weeks of shelter-at-home because of the COIVID-19 pandemic, many artists and arts organizations are trying to look ahead to a time when they might be able to present their work again to a public audience. Many in the performing arts are looking at safety not just for the audience but also for the artists and technical staff working in close proximity with each other. In this conversation we ask questions that most of the arts world, as well as its patrons and funders are also asking. Check out ORArtsWatch.org.

(Aired 11am  5/5/2020 on KBOO 90.7 FM or always on stagenstudio.com and iTunes.)

Featured music: Joe Kye at JoeKye.com.
