On this episode of the Gap, Tammy and Althea start with a local news roundup. The Clean & Safe contract renewal passed the City Council this week despite major community pushback, and this weekend there's an abortion rights march related to the attack on abortion rights in Texas.
Then, we discuss what role school should ideally play in the lives of the students who go there and the society as a whole. The idea came about in discussion of the Newberg School District's ban on Black Lives Matter and Pride flags. We hear from our listeners about what they learned in school and what they wished they had learned.
Thank you to everyone who called in, tuned in and everyone who is supporting us during our Fall Fund Drive!
