Just getting your attention. But isn't everything political these days? Please join me for ninety minutes of mostly folk music on Wednesday's PASTURES OF PLENTY.
Program highlights include a brief exploration of UFOs and their aliens. From Karen Carpenter's wistful encounter with aliens on the radio (Calling Occupants of Interplantetary Craft) to Tish Hinojosa's assertion that such aliens are political (I Saw an Alien), there's something to think about, eh what? But then, as Cat Stevens sings, “Oh baby, it's a wild world.” There's also some local music in today's show, from Succotash (Don't Sit at My Graveside) and The Sagebrush Sisters (Sit at Home). Plus I was surprised to hear Welshman Tom Jones sing on his 81st birthday (One More Cup of Coffee). There's folk music Monday-Friday mornings on KBOO from 5:30 –7:00. Hope you enjoy the music. Will
