A celebration of Black History Month with Sister Nannette Carter-Jafri, announcement of a summit focused on the Black community entitled: "Rebuilding Our Community With The Power to Change".

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell and Deborah Hall for the Oregon Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio. Our guest is Sister Nannette Carter-Jafri, Vice-President of SEIU Local 503 AFRAM Caucus.  AFRAM is described as, “A community of workers of African descent fighting for justice in the workplace .” Our show will celebrate Black History Month as Sister Carter-Jafri announces the preparations of a summit entitled “Rebuilding our Community With The Power To Change”.  Our conversation with Sister Carter-Jafri  will go into a deep dive covering the needs and goals of the virtual summit scheduled for February 25, 2022 and the intended impact on the Black community.
