Nina Olsson on “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, The Exhibition”

On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, Joseph Gallivan interviews Nina Olsson about “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, The Exhibition”, which runs at Pioneer Place Mall through August 21. Olsson is a painting conservator who has studied in Italy, and she talks about Michelangelo’s mastery of painting on wet plaster, his approach to the human form, and how his talent as a colorist was unveiled by the conservation of the Sistine Chapel in the 1980s. The radio show will contain a trivia question and the chance to win two free tickets to “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, The Exhibition.”

This interview was recorded on a Pixel 6 phone on July 6, 2022, without masks, in person and engineered by KBOO volunteer Ray Bodwell. https://kboo.fm/blog/55224
