Please join us for Transpositive PDX on Tuesday, July 19th on KBOO Community Radio as we talk with Anna and Leah of Real You Electrolysis about why transgender people choose to have electrolysis and what to expect if they decide have this work done. Electrolysis is a form of hair removal that kills the hair at the root. Transgender people have hair removal done in advance of gender confirming surgery. Trans women often have electrolysis on their face to remove hair in preparation for transition. We will discuss what it is like to have electrolysis and the benefits that transgender people have from this process. During the second half of the show we will be discussing current events in the news with the Transpositive Collective.
Transpositive is a biweekly program in Portland exploring themes important to those who identify as Transgender, Gender Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming.
