Host Glen Andresen and guest Jim Gilbert are again on tape this month, but have high hopes we'll be back in the studio in March. If you've got plans to graft in February or March, it's time to collect scion wood, and we'll tell you how. Plus, why go to the trouble (although it's not much) of building a raised bed? We've got answers. And Jim let's us know some of the plants that he now grows but first learned about in Ukraine.
As always, we'll have a new Plant of the Month (cabbage) and a new Garden Stumper (the winner gets a free sharpening of a hand tool from Cully Farm Store in Northeast Portland!). Plus, our Dirtbag Dictionary term is "dwarf." And, of course, what's annoying Glen this month...or at least what he's been thinking about!
Don't forget, if you have a gardening question, and don't want to call in, you can always email us at [email protected] -- we'll answer your question on the air during the next show. Furthermore, you can record a voice memo of your gardening question on your phone and email that to us. We will play it on the air next month and answer your question.
The Dirtbag, a garden variety show... Listen. Laugh. Learn.
