Geek in the City's Aaron Durán releases his debut graphic novel
Aaron Durán is a comics writer, novelist, and creator of the long-running Portland podcast Geek in the City. For his debut graphic novel about a young indigenous sorceress, he teamed up with Spain-based artist Sara Soler and letterer Jaime Martinez. Season of the Bruja follows the adventures of Althalia Cabrera and her shape-shifting friends as they encounter both the historical and supernatural influences of colonialism.
Aaron sits down with S.W. Conser in advance of a book launch event at local venue Books with Pictures.
