"That Vegan Show" interviews Carly and Erin of St. Louis Avian Rescue (STAR). Carly is a member of the Board of Directors and the Event Coordinator at STAR. Erin is a member of the Marketing and Public Relations team and a foster. STAR began 20 years ago when their founder, Janet Draper, saw the need for parrot rescue and rehoming. Now led by Executive Director, Jill Capps, their mission is to improve and enrich the lives of parrots through rescue, rehabilitative fostering, adoption and education. They are entirely volunteer run and foster based with a focus on rehabilitative fostering. During our interview, learn about the great need for bird fosters (nationwide), bird personalities, behaviors, nutrition, and their incredible life span. If you listen closely, you may hear some chirps from Chloe and Littlefoot too! If you would like to find out more about STAR and parrots: STAR-ST.
