Paulann Petersen, Oregon Poet Laureate Emerita, is the author of eight full-length poetry books. She is reading from the newest, My Kindred, published by salmonpoetry in Ireland. Her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Poetry, Prairie Schooner, The Birmingham Review, Catamaran and Tikkun. A Stegner Fellow at Stanford, she received the Holbrrok Award from Literary Arts and a Willamette Writer’s Distinguished Northwest Writer Award.
Former Portlander and Seattleite Stephen Thomas recently did a reading tour in the US for his new What Is Between Us, published by Charles Potts, who published Stephen's other full length collection, Journeyman. A former teacher, Stephen lives now in Germany's Black Forest on an organic farm where he cofounded a community, Gemeinschaft Sonnenwald, which is trying to figure out what might follow capitalism.
Duane Poncy and Patricia J McLean are novelists and poets. They co-authored two novels, Ghosts of Saint-Pierre, published in 2022, and a mystery novel, Bartlett House, in 2007. The writing duo are currently working on Degrees of Freedom, a sci-fi novel, sequel to Duane's novel, Skyrmion. In 2003, they founded Rainy Nights Press. in 2012, they started Elohi Gadugi Journal, an online magazine of poetry, short stories, and non-fiction, and co-hosted the poetry series, Readings at Milepost 5 for five years, before retiring to work on their own careers as novelists.
