Majestic maple leaves, soon to be compost
What you do or don't do in your garden now can pay great dividends come spring and summer

Host Glen Andresen welcomes back Jim Gilbert to the studio to talk about final tasks in the fall garden. Plus make plans now to take advantage of the single best free source of nutrients for your garden: leaves! And now is the time to convert grass or weeds to raised (or not) garden beds. Stay tuned for simple, effective, and easy instructions.

As always, we'll have a new Plant of the Month (Jims's choice TBD) and a new Garden Stumper (the winner gets a free sharpening of a hand tool from Cully Farm Store in Northeast Portland!). Plus, our Dirtbag Dictionary term is "carbon to nitorgen ratio." And, of course, what's annoying Glen this month...or at least what he's been thinking about.

Don't forget, if you have a gardening question, and don't want to call in, you can always email us at [email protected] -- we'll answer your question on the air during the next show.

The Dirtbag, a garden variety show... Listen. Laugh. Learn.
