On Tuesday Dec 12, 2023, at 11.30 a.m. Joseph Gallivan interviews Aurora Josephson at the new downtown gallery Portland Arts Collective. Josephson talks about several artists’ work in the show called Women’s Work. Many of them are mature, female artists who have been on the Portland scene for decades. Josephson, who has sometimes presented Art Focus, talks about taking over the former Tibetan nick-nacks store for $808 a month to showcase artists who may not currently have a gallery, and the collective’s bid to revitalize a sketchy part of downtown.
This show was recorded on a Zoom H2N recorder on Dec. 8, edited by KBOO volunteer Liam Gallivan, and engineered by Ray Bodwell https://kboo.fm/blog/55224
