Tonight's edition of Talking Earth features local poet Colin Keating. Host Patrick Bocarde and Keating discuss formal poetry, Dante's Divine Comedy, Colin's poetic influences, extreme metal, and of course, the Roman Empire. Keating also reads poems from his collection Dog Tao (2021), and the forthcoming collection Smoking in Disneyland.
Colin Keating's writing has appeared in the publications Gap Tooth, Oregon Voice among others. His Fugazi themed sonnet cycle Red Medicine was selected for the Portland Poetry Press Week Summer 2016 showcase. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
