Radio adaptation of the 2nd movie version of Raymond Chandler's 2nd novel.
Tonight the bedtime radio show for grownups presents the Lux Radio Theater adaptation of the 1944 RKO Pictures production of Raymond Chandler's 1940 detective novel Farewell My Lovely. Retitled as Murder My Sweet,. Dick Powell sheds his pretty boy image of the previous decade to become fast talking private detective Philip Marlowe. An ex-con hires Marlowe to find his old girlfriend, Velma, who used to be a nightclub singer. But as Marlowe investigates it appears that the ex singer doesn't want to be found.
