Citizens Try to Stop Sale of Gladstone Nature Park
In the city of Gladstone, Oregon, south of Portland in Clackamas County, a group of citizens continues its frustrating attempts to keep the city from selling a popular park.
The ten-and-a-half acre Gladstone Nature Park contains a hiking trail and is an example of the white oak savannah ecosystem.
The city is looking into selling the land to pay for new city buildings--one leading idea for future use is as a gravel pit.
