Remember when we almost froze nukes?

Tara Dorabji is a Tri-Valley CAREs board member and for 5 years before that, she was the Outreach Director and and a Community Organizer to head the youth and campus outreach effort. Tri-Valley CAREs is an activist organization in response to the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory nuclear weapons facility in California. Tara Dorabji is a founding member of the Coalition to Demilitarize the University of California. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Cruz and works as Community Programs Manager at the non-profit Streetside Stories in San Francisco. She is a Co-host of KPFA radio's La Onda Bajita program.

We will revisit the rich but almost forgotten history of the anti-nuclear movement and discuss concerns related to nuclear issues that are particular to women.
