Talking Earth will play the second half of Magician's Hat, a radio play adapted from Bill Tremblay's book of poetry with the same title. Magician's Hat engages the life of Mexican muralist Jose "David" Alfaro Siqueros, whose vision of a free, generous, and artistically liberated Mexico unified and informed his inner and outer worlds.
Magician's Hat ranges as far as Siquero's life did, from a party in Gershwin's apartment to the Spanish Civil War and beyond. Talking Earth will air a short interview with author Bill Tremblay, as time permits. Talking Earth starts at 10 pm tonight.
