Our show tonight is inspired by this year's amazing PDXjazz festival (which started 2 days ago! wake up!) and this year's "supremely" Coltrane focus, with selections from Trane's legendary AFRICA/BRASS Sessions, ALICE COLTRANE's JOURNEY IN SATCHIDANANDA, BLUE NILE and UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS, PHAROAH SANDERS - all coming next weekend, music from CHARLES LLOYD, SONNY FORTUNE and AZAR LAWRENCE (all played tonight at the festival), and, y'know, some Lord Buckley, Nichols & May, Sun Ra, even some KOOL AND THE GANG..Who knows? Who cares? You're the only one up on your street anyway, so enjoy it! In fact, better record it so people will believe you tomorrow...(TONIGHTS SHOW HAS AN UNBELIEVABLE LIVE SESSION.
