The PDX Jazz Festival has made February brighter in Portland for many years,
brightenng our gray skies with jazz luminaries
from Gerald Wilson and Barry Harris
to Gergory Porter and Cecile McLorin Salvant.
Festival Artistic Director Don Lucoff will tell us of this year's lineup.
Drummer and composer and Fesival performer Alan Jones
will follow to preview his Drum Battle shows,
celebrating Buddy Rich at 100.
Richard Basi will guest to showcase his Celebration of 100 Years
of Recorded Jazz concert by his Cherry Blossom Ochestra.
We'll kick off KBOO's one-week membership drive.
