Antoinette Edwards
Building solidarity in the Black community with organized labor.

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell and Ms. Deborah Hall in a discussion about public engagement with Ms. Antoinette Edwards, the Director of the Office of Youth Violence Prevention with the City of Portland. Ms. Edwards is a lifelong community activist and has a 40 year history of serving the most vulnerable populations in our community. The topic of our show highlights the importance of solidifying the needs of the Black community and the capacity of organized labor to address  those needs. We will also discuss her recent attendance at the 46th International Coalition of Black Trade Unionists convention held in New Orleans, Louisiana. We will examine the role of organized labor and how to bring the passion of that convention to Oregon by the means of public engagement and community outreach.
