Umoja Kijana Shujaa: Building an intergrated community of self determination and collective liberation.

Join host Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell and Ms. Deborah Hall with our guest  Babatunde  Azubuike   to  roll out information on the 2018  Umoja Kijana Shujaa program. This is an Enlace program exclusively for Black youth ages 14-24  anchored by the Oregon Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists and Sankofa Collective NW. Babatunde,  also known as Ze, is a Black queer, trans, southern femme from Athens, Georgia. Ze has worked as an organizer with national and local organizations in the fight for gender justice, racial justice and ballot initiatives in support of low wage workers as well as those in the LGBTQUI12S+ spectrum. Ze was an intricate creator  of the 2017  Umoja Kijana  Shujaa program aimed at uplifting underserved Black youth while creating a safe, affirming and healing learning environment in the Portland Metro area.
