Bill Resnick talks with Bob Peterson, who taught 5th grade for 30  years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bob led the teachers union to increased militancy and collective action after the rabidly conservative Wisconsin legislature enacted set of union busting laws that included forbidding mandatory "fair share fees" for teachers who didn't want to be union members. They consider how teachers organized in light of the Supreme Court decision in JANUS vs. AFSCME, which declared "fair share" unconstitutional,  by a 5-4 majority reversing decades of constitutional law.

Bob Peterson is active with Rethinking Schools and recently wrote about Transforming Teahers Unions in a Post-JANUS World
