Co-host Jacqueline Keeler speaks with Dine' activist Klee Benally and Joel Garcia, L.A. artist and cultural worker, creative director or Meztli Projects.

As the United States careens further and faster away from institutional checks and balances and 20th century progressive reforms, the experiences of Indigenous Peoples under the colonial onslaught may actually help us understand the situation we're in, and how to resist it. As part of the country continues to celebrate, along with Trump himself, the bringer of genocide and cultural devastation, another part continues to reexamine and overturn the Columbian legacy.

Second Wednesday co-host Jacqueline Keeler, Diné/Ihanktonwan Dakota writer and activist, just published an article on Truthout examining the ongoing and growing challenge to everything represented by Columbus and Columbus Day.

On the phone we have Klee Benally, Dine' activist, artist and musician, and Joel Garcia, East Los Angeles artist of Huichol descent.
