Retailer of everything, Amazon.com, recently announced the cities of Long Island, New York and Arlington, Virginia as winners in landing Amazon’s second headquarters known as HQ2. With Amazon dangling a promise of high paying jobs for highly skilled workers, cities across the nation have been bidding using subsidies and other tax breaks to land HQ2. Freelance writer Neil deMause will join us to discuss what this means for constitutes in New York and how it could affect regional jobs across the Pacific Northwest.
