A series of large protests this month have blocked bridges, attempted to obstruct Parliament and generally disrupt life-as-usual in the United Kingdom, as part of "Extinction Rebellion," a new, more in-your-face phase of the climate movement. Our guest, George Barda, is a climate change and Occupy activist and a compassionate revolutionary. He works for an environmental NGO, is a Dad and has a Masters in Environmental Politics and Globalisation. He has been involved with Rising Up!, a platform to enable people power the pursuit of social and environmental justice, which emerged from diverse strands of UK activism from past years. He is a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion and will be able to tell us more about it.
