Two of Mali's great musical ambassadors:
guitarist-singer-songwriter Habib Koité & ngoni virtuoso Bassekou Kouyaté will be performing together here in Portland later this month as part of PDX Jazz Festival 2019 (Revolution Hall, 2/27). This week's installment of Africa O-Yé! will feature the music of Habib Koité & Bassekou Kouyaté, and we will also pay tribute to the late Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi.
