Fifty years worth of wild stories about the history of underground comics by the industry's most dedicated publisher
In this extended online-only conversation, we hear many more rollicking stories about the underground comics industry and its characters from leading authority Denis Kitchen. Denis sat down with S.W. Conser in the KBOO studios during a recent Portland visit in support of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and Portland State University's Comics Studies program.
During his fifty years of innovative publishing, Denis helped revolutionize the landscape of alternative media and graphic novels, working alongside such legendary personalities as Stan Lee, Will Eisner, Trina Robbins, Harvey Kurtzman, Robert Crumb, and Mike Richardson.
