Stop the Sweeps PDX calls for sweep moratorium and increased resources for houseless community amid outbreak

One majorly vulnerable population in Portland – those living on the streets– have been left without a clear plan to weather this pandemic. The Stop the Sweeps Coalition in Portland has called for a moratorium on sweeps, as well as the placement of 150 handwashing stations and restrooms throughout the city to support the estimated 4,000 people living on the streets in Portland.

Vince is a member of the coalition – he is a houseless advocate who is himself houseless, in Southeast Portland.
