A new method of voting is being used by the Independent Party of Oregon in their 2020 Primary Election. STAR voting, which stands for Score Then Automatic Runoff, was first proposed by Mark Frohnmayer, who is also the founder of the Equal Vote Coalition.
KBOO's Yasemin Cobanoglu spoke with Frohnmayer about STAR voting and how it could transform our elections.
