Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, June 15th for our Father's Day show. Relationships between Trans and Non Binary individuals and their relatives can be a source of trauma, joy, sorrow, acceptance, loss and fulfillment. We will talk with Mic Chan about his relationship with his father as he tells his coming out story. Sheila Mengert joins us to talk about her father who recently passed away and her relationship with him as well as the unique issues related to trans women "swimming upstream against the patriarchy." Nicolette Schweitzer joins us with their father Greg to share reflections from both sides of the experience of being a parent and growing up in a family and coming out non-binary. Jean Bryant shares her reflections on her father 30 years after his passing and talks frankly about being physically abused for expressing her gender identity as a child.
