Akikazu Nakamura is an internationally recognized musician. He’s been introduced at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and has performed in over 150 cities in more than 40 countries. He is the master of the traditional Japanese flute. Akikazu plays it by using circular breathing based on his own distinctive method, called missoku—a method of breathing that has ancient origins in Japan and is the topic of his new book, Breathing with Missoku: The Undiscovered Zen Secret of Japanese Culture.
