Jefferson Smith wants to be Portland's next Mayor. Also, bikes and streetcar tracks, ouch!

Join us on Wednesday, November 2nd, for a talk about bike crashes and streetcar tracks, and in the second half of the show for a conversation with Portland Mayoral candidate (and Oregon State Representative) Jefferson Smith.

Comments

I'm a car-free commuter, avid cyclists, and I have fallen in tracks... and I'm getting a bit angry about this show!  Why are some cyclists so picky and whiney?
How difficult is it to ride on Marshall vs Lovejoy?  Why can't people be add one block of flexibility to their commutes?
AND who bikes down MLK?  1- People who are lost, and who, if traumatized, will probably never bike down MLK again.  2- People who are confident in traffic and choose to bike down MLK, and probably are also confident with tracks.
In the future, the tracks should be designed with more concern for bikes, but for now can't we just avoid them pretty easily?  Arg.
