In this extended version of our interview with pioneering artist and filmmaker Kathy Zielinski, we talk more about her experiences riding the technological waves from hand-drawn 2-D feature films to computer-generated imagery, the importance of pose and expression in both human and animal characters, and encouraging young women comics artists to expand into animation.

Kathy Zielinski has been called "The Queen of Animated Villains" for helping bring to life such characters as Ursula the Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid and Jafar in Aladdin.
