Interview with Sharyn Kasmir who takes a critical look at the Mondragon Coops in Spain

The Mondragon coop in the Basque region of Spain, owned and managed by its workers, has been seen by the left as a path beyond capitalism. But how has it worked out? Sharryn Kasmir has lived in and studied the town of Mondragon and talked with the workers, and found it lacking. Here she talks with the Old Mole's Bill Resnick. Her book is The Myth of Mondragon Cooperatives, Politics, and Working Class Life in a Basque Town.  Kasmir recommends this more recent article by Sam Gindin.
