Preview of Wordstock, Portland's Book Festival

Host Kathleen Stephenson speaks with Andrew Proctor, Executive Director of Literary Arts and Amanda Bullock, Wordstock Festival Director about Wordstock: Portland’s Book Festival, which will be held at the Portland Art Museum and at venues in the surrounding South Park Blocks area on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

The festival will include author discussions and activities for readers of all ages, an extensive book fair, pop-up readings and concerts, a beverage garden, and local food trucks.

This year, the festival expands to six new venues in the South Park Blocks, including The Old Church, Oregon Historical Society, Northwest Film Center, and three of the stages of Portland’5: the Brunish Theatre, the Winningstad Theatre, and the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. We will also return to the Portland Art Museum and the First Congregational United Church of Christ. The new partner venues and stages more than DOUBLE the seated capacity  for the festival. Other updates to the festival include an expanded book fair and more programming and activities for children and youth.
