SEEDLINGS is a speculative time travel novel about Seth, a beekeeper living on the northern coast of Oregon, who is concerned with the mysterious deaths of his honeybees. While searching for a swarm that escaped from a collapsed hive, Seth meets Melody, the woman fated to be his life partner.Melody is a collector and preserver of heirloom seeds that have not been genetically altered. She is also acquainted with the spirit world and time travelers.
Through Melody, Seth learns how natural foods have gradually been altered to have no nutritional value, but to retain the taste and appearance of healthy foods. Through Seth, Melody learns the importance of bees and how their extinction disrupts our health and the entire food chain.
With the help of the time travelers, Seth and Melody realize that the entire planet is in peril but that they can play a role in saving it. During their quest they enter a world where the ordinary is strange and the strange is ordinary and all life that is, was and will be is in the now.
