In the United States, we are now getting little to no information from main stream media "or even U.S.-based alternative media "on the devastating impact of Hurricanes Maria and Irma on Saint Croix, Saint John, and St Thomas, all three part of the US Virgin Islands; or on non-US territories including the island nation of Dominica where at least 27 people were killed. Today, we get an update on the region from Dorbrene OMarde who is from Antigua and Barbuda. Barbuda was totally destroyed and all residents evacuated to its sister island of Antigua. Donald Trump unveiled his tax plan, it is estimated to cost of at least 2.2 trillion dollars over a decade in lost revenue for the government. The plan is short on details, and as of yet, we have no idea where the money will come from or what social programs maybe slashed to pay for the tax plan. Who will benefit and who will gain?
