A protest was held outside the Oregonian newspaper in Portland this morning to challenge the newspaper's decision to distribute one point two million anti-Muslim DVDs in yesterday's paper.  Aisha loREN spoke to KBOO's Air Cascadia this morning from the protest.
This morning's protest was outside the Oregonian newspaper officers.
A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today announced that it has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, or FEC, about the group that distributed the DVD.
The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations has urged the FEC to investigate the Clarion Fund, a shadowy non-profit organization that distributed the DVDs, titled “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West".
The Council believes the Clarion Fund is actually a front for an Israel-based group seeking to help Sen. John McCain win the U.S. presidential election.
