On Friday Nov 17th from 8pm-10PM ,”From the Grassroots--where we agitate for social change with music and commentary will honor Bofill ;a Latina songstress who crossed over from jazz to R&B. She had such a rich voice that captivated our communities and gave us strength during the 1980s. She had perfect pitch and sung at a coveted 3 1/2-octave.
We will also review Dead Man the 1995 American Western film written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. This film combines the twisted and surreal elements of the Western genre-just in time for the lies we tell our children about the holiday Thanksgiving. We will be joined by Art Historian Professor Dianne Johnson and Political Commentary by Landon Crowell
