Laurie talks with Hector Dominguez, Open Data Coordinator for Smart City PDX, about how to build community input in crafting facial recognition, surveillance, and other technologies policies. Data-collecting technologies are quickly creeping into every aspect of our public and private lives, and they talk about how to control their spread in Portland through community participation and activism. The City is sponsoring a work session on surveillance technologies Tuesday January 28, 9:30-11:30 a.m. at City Hall.
