A glimpse of mid-20th Century folk music

Today's program features folk groups from the late 1950s and the 1960s, during a surge in folk music popularity, with millions of records sold.

 

You can listen to the The Kingston Trio, The Weavers, The Four Preps, The New Christy Minstrels, and The Chad Mitchell Trio, to drop a few names.  Ten groups in all, blended with more current folk music during today's Pastures of Plenty.
