Please join us on Monday, March 3rd at 6:30 pm for Prison Pipeline on KBOO Community Radio as we talk with Wendy Snyder who
is the West Coast organizer for the Uhuru Solidarity Movement for white reparations to the African community. She joined USM in the early 1990s after the African rebellions following the videotaped beating of Rodney King in Los Angeles by 12 LAPD. Wendy has worked as a teacher and counselor but considers the Uhuru Solidarity Movement her vocation along with writing and music. With membership in over 130 cities around the country, USM organizes white people to stand against colonialism and repression, and for reparations toward Black self-determination.
Prison Pipeline is a radio program dedicated to educating the public about the Oregon criminal justice system. Our goal is to present a unique understanding of the criminal justice system, address the root causes of crime, and challenge the status quo. We seek to promote awareness and activism in order to foster a safe, healthy, and just society. Tune in every Monday at 6:30 P.M. to hear our hosts Karen James, Adam Carpinelli, Emma Lugo, and Doug McVay explore the Oregon justice system with a variety of guests.
